Should I consult with a physician before I use this product?
We encourage anyone being treated for any medical conditions (especially autoimmune disorders), taking prescription medications or if you are pregnant or nursing to consult with your physician prior to taking elderberry syrup. You should always consult with your physician prior to taking new products. Baby elderberry syrup is available at certain locations on preorder (made without raw honey).

How often should I take this product?
Some take it daily year round, others take it only when sick, the frequency is up to you and your doctor. Adults take 1 Tablespoon, children take 1 teaspoon up to every 2 hours.

How do you keep this product fresh?
Jodi’s Elderberry Syrup is shelf stable (meaning may be stored at room temperature in the pantry, counter, etc.) until opened. Once the syrup is opened, it must be stored in the refrigerator.

Jodi’s Elderberry syrup is best used within a year. Once open, it is best consumed within approximately 3 months. You will find the best by date on the side of your bottle.

The DIY kit can be stored in the pantry at room temperature.

What makes this product all natural?
Jodi’s Elderberry Syrup is made with all natural ingredients, no additives or preservatives and the honey that we use has no corn syrup or thickeners. Therefore, our syrup has a more liquid consistency. It also makes for easier consumption.

What does the syrup taste like?
It tastes like “Christmas.” With the combination of ingredients and the sweetness of the honey, most love the taste. If you or your child does not prefer the taste, you can add our syrup to smoothies, applesauce, yogurt, beverages, etc to enhance or mask the flavor.
